Frequently Asked Questions

You roleplay inside conversations, which live in locations and events within a roleplay's World. Join a roleplay from Home or Search, then open that roleplay's World tab and choose a location or event to find conversations. Request to join a conversation with your character, get approved, and start writing. For the full flow, see World and conversations and Finding and joining roleplays.

Use Create character to add a new character. You set name, age, gender, details, an image, and some traits. You need at least one character to join a roleplay. For step-by-step instructions, see Characters.

Core details (name, image, age, gender, birthday, traits, and attributes) are locked to keep roleplays consistent. You can still edit your character's description and info cards. For more, see Characters.

The Chat tab on a roleplay's page is a roleplay-wide channel for all participants. It's for out-of-character (OOC) discussion and coordination — planning, questions, and general chat. The in-story writing happens in conversations inside locations and events (see the World tab). For more, see Finding and joining roleplays.

Locations are places in the roleplay's setting (e.g. a city, a tavern). Each location has a description and can contain conversations — the threads where you write in-character with others. Events work similarly but are timed or story-driven. Both live under the roleplay's World tab. For details, see World and conversations.
